National Treasure at the Box Office

Did you go see National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets this weekend? I did. And a lot of people, too, since Nicholas Cage unearthed the No. 1 spot in the box office.

The action sequel sold $45.5 million worth of tickets during its first three days.

The $45.5 million start for "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" compares with a $35 million launch for 2004's "National Treasure", which went on to make $173 million, the biggest film of Cage's career. It also earned $173 million overseas. Cage spent two weeks at No. 1 in February with "Ghost Rider ", which started with $45 million on its way to $116 million domestically.

In the new film, he flies around the world trying to solve an ancient puzzle related to Lincoln's assassination, in the process managing to break into both Buckingham Palace and the White House. Critics were appalled.

But were you? What did you think of the film? Do you want to see it if you haven't? Comment, plz.

Jamie Lynn Spears

Celebs gone wild.
16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, younger sister of Britney Spears, announced recently to the media that she is, in fact, pregnant. The father is 19-year-old Casey Aldridge, Spears's boyfriend.

I guess she's not as innocent as we all thought.
Questions are being tossed around. What will happen to her hit show on Nickelodeon, Zoey 101? Will they fire her?

Speculations are similar to those of Vanessa Hudgens when in September nude photos were released on the Internet. Disney didn't fire her, the photos were dropped, and the whole thing was soon dropped. It was forgotton, wasn't it? She didn't break up with her boyfriend, Zac Efron, she started making candid appearances again. People are starting to compare this controversy with Vanessa's. Hmmm.

I wonder how things are going to turn out. Well, we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?
